Les Clef d’Or Celebration at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens

12/7/2010

Vizcaya Museum is a one South Florida’s most beloved landmarks. The century-old estate captivates the senses with lush foliage, babbling fountains vibrant garden mazes and ancient Italian architecture which gracefully overlooks Biscayne Bay.

I had the opportunity to attend a private celebration hosted by the South Florida Concierge Association (SFCA) to honor the newest inductees to the Le Clef d’Ors. Les Clefs d’Or, pronounced "lay clay door," is French and literally translates as "keys of gold”. It is the highest designation a concierge can attain . It is recognized worldwide as a symbol of honesty, integrity and outstanding service.

Family Rentals had the honor of being one of the event sponsors, so it was especially exciting to be in attendance.

What a beautiful night for a celebration! The full moon illuminated Biscayne Bay as we gathered on the historic Yacht Landing. Eight of Miami’s top restaurants including Quinns, J. Rodriguez, China Grill and Ice Box Café , offered tastings of their finest fare, while cocktails were passed and music wafted through the air. Congratulations and best wishes to the newest Les Clef d’Or members and all of the members of the SFCA!
